Q - What is the average turn around time for factory warranty work?A - This really depends on the type of repairs that are needed. We always put our customers' warranty repairs ahead of outside service work or warranty work from customers who have not purchased from us. When we receive a unit for warranty repair, we will generally begin work within 3-5 business days of receiving the unit. At that point, we typically have to send the factory a summary of what needs repair (including service tech diagnostics statement, pictures, etc) and get pre-authorization to begin repairs. Once we receive pre-authorization (anywhere from 1 day - 2 weeks depending on the factory) we then order the necessary parts from the factory. From that point we wait for the parts order to be processed and shipped. Once the parts are received, we strive to have the repairs completed within a week. So depending on whether parts needed to be ordered or not, the average turnaround time for warranty work is anywhere from 5 days - 4 weeks.
Q - Can you come to me to do my factory warranty work?A - Your factory warranty will not pay for service calls (nor do they reimburse you for travel expenses). If you have purchased an extended warranty, depending on the type of repair that is needed, you may be able to use your extended warranty to pay for an on-site service call. However, we do not do mobile service repairs. We would be happy to provide you with the name and phone number a recommended mobile service tech.
